The American Medical Association has announced the launch of Practice Analysis Tools for Healthcare, or AMA PATH, designed for physicians and their practice staffs to analyze and adjust their offices’ fee schedules.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nevada is partnering with The Tax Institute of H&R Block to create two new tools to help businesses navigate changes in health care. An interactive grandfathering tool is designed to help businesses understand what grandfathering means and whether they qualify for it with regard to their health plan. A small business tax calculator tool is designed to help businesses understand premium credits, employee coverage requirements, employer penalties and excise taxes.

RelayHealth, an Atlanta-based connectivity subsidiary of McKesson, has launched MedGift, a gift registry and social network designed to help family and friends support hospital patients.

FIS, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based provider of banking and payments technology, has announced that HR Simplified, a Golden Valley, Minn.-based provider of employee benefit administration solutions, has deployed the company’s BenSoft application to provide integrated imaging capabilities, speed the posting of payments and remittance documents and reduce payment handling costs.

Cymetrix, an Irvine, Calif.-based provider of revenue cycle management solutions, has signed a contract with Eisenhower Medical Center and Clinics in Rancho Mirage, Calif., to help with RCM capabilities.

CSI Financial Services, based in San Diego, has launched ClearBalance, a newly branded program designed to offer healthcare patients zero- or low-interest loans to help with medical expenses. The new program includes a money-back guarantee.
