Healthcare Finance News begins regular run, names staff

Healthcare Finance News, the monthly finance news magazine for the healthcare industry that begins regular publication this month, has named its staff and their coverage areas.

MedTech Publishing introduced the new publication through a premiere issue distributed in June at the Healthcare Financial Management Association conference.

The editor of the new publication is Fred Bazzoli, who comes to the staff with more than two decades of experience reporting on the healthcare industry. He has been senior editor of MedTech's Healthcare IT News since 2003.

Bazzoli handles all general editorial questions regarding HFN. He covers news about hospitals and integrated delivery systems.

Eric Wicklund is the managing editor of HFN. He came to MedTech Publishing in August after a 20-year career in daily and weekly journalism, during which he served as editor of the Biddeford-Saco Journal Tribune and the Biddeford-Saco-Old Orchard Beach Courier. Wicklund, who also serves as managing editor of Healthcare IT News, is responsible for covering news on suppliers and services.

Chip Means is the new associate editor of HFN. Before coming to MedTech Publishing, he worked as a freelance writer. He has experience in both print and radio journalism. Means is responsible for covering community care and other issues for the magazine.

Diana Manos is HFN's senior editor based in Washington, D.C. Manos, with more than 17 years' experience as a journalist, has covered healthcare on Capitol Hill for more than a decade, reporting for such publications as AHA News, Hospitals and Health Networks magazine and Part B News. Manos covers industry news and regulatory issues for HFN.

Finally, contributing writer Patty Enrado reports on payer stories for HFN. She also is a regular contributor to Healthcare IT News in the same payer space.
