Survey analysis: ICD-10 delay

The deadline for ICD-10 has been pushed back one year. Healthcare Finance News asked its readers if the delay is enough time.

Perhaps not surprisingly, readers were nearly split on the issue. Fifty-seven percent of respondents said the one-year delay is enough time, while 43 percent said it is not enough time.

Survey analysis: Overturn individual mandate

The Supreme Court recently heard arguments concerning the Affordable Care Act, and will soon make their final decision about the health reform law. Healthcare Finance News asked its readers how they think the Supreme Court will rule.

The majority of respondents think the individual mandate will be overturned, but the rest of the law will be upheld.

The Department of Health and Human Services has the power to publicize and review insurance premium rate hikes over 10 percent. In the past few months, many insurance companies have come under fire for excessive rate hikes. Healthcare Finance News asked its readers their opinion on HHS’ rate review process.

More than half of respondents think HHS could be more aggressive. Publicly calling out insurance companies for rate hikes is not enough, according to most of our readers.
