Gwinnett Medical Center Decreases A/R Days and Boosts Cash Collections
In 2010, Gwinnett Medical Center initiated a program to transform its revenue cycle processes. Its efforts to redesign its revenue cycle processes focused on creating a culture of accountability among its departments and individuals to improve productivity and performance. To accomplish its goals, they needed to figure out how managers could sort, prioritize and track the accounts requiring collection. This paper outlines how Gwinnett improved financial performance, accountability, transparency, and processes.
