RENTON, WA – Providence Health & Services, a 27-hospital non-profit health system, based in Renton, Wash., has selected a vendor to provide primary early placement outsourced revenue cycle services for its California facilities.
In addition to its 5 hospitals in California and an additional 22 hospitals in Alaska, Washington, Montana and Oregon, Providence operates 35 non-acute care facilities, physician clinics and a health plan.
The health system signed a deal with Dallas-based vendor PHNS for a range of revenue cycle services. PHNS offers receivables management, business office and accounts receivable services, and interim revenue cycle services to hospitals.
"Providence-California selected PHNS because of their commitment to excellence in service and confidence in PHNS' revenue cycle capabilities for hospitals and hospital systems," said Jan Grankowski, regional director of revenue cycle management at Providence-California.
PHNS touts the ability of its revenue cycle software to track the progress of claims and collections and help hospitals manage their accounts receivable and maximize revenues. The company's areas of expertise include managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, workers' compensation and self-pay accounts.
