Navicure, an Atlanta-based medical claims clearinghouse for physician practices, has announced that three South Carolina-based physician practices – The Lexington Heart Clinic, Premier Surgical Services, PA, and Sunshine Pediatrics – will implement the company’s accounts receivable management solutions.

Passport Health Communications, Inc., based in Franklin, Tenn., has formed a Clinical Orders business unit, which will develop products and services designed to help providers ensure physician-ordered clinical tests, procedures and other transactions are correct and pass multiple payer compliance edits from scheduling to claims coding. In addition, the company has launched OrderChecker, which processes real-time and/or batch transactions and can be automated to run on an array of rules defined by a provider.

MediKeeper, a San Diego-based developer of healthcare IT solutions, has announced an alliance with change:healthcare, a Nashville, Tenn.-based developer of cost transparency tools, to enhance MediKeeper’s personal health information tool with an embedded cost savings application designed to help employers, employees and others save money on personal health spending.

The TriZetto Group, based in Newport Beach, Calif., has announced that the Lovelace Health Plan, based in Albuquerque, N.M., has signed a six-year business process outsourcing software and services contract with the company, using TriZetto’s Facets enterprise administration system and other hosted systems, including NetworX Suite and Facets Workflow. In addition, the company has announced the general availability of its CareAdvance Enterprise 4.6 system, the new version of the company’s health management platform for healthcare payers, which includes enhancements to case, disease, utilization and population management.

Ingenious Med, an Atlanta-based provider of mobile solutions for physicians, has announced that its IM Quality solution for Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) reporting is now available on handheld devices.

The Dickson Company, based in Addison, Ill., has announced the availability via download of its white paper “Hospital Environmental Monitoring – What You Need to Know about Critical Storage Regulations, Liabilities, Audits, Instrument Selection and Cost Controls.”

IBM, based in Armonk, N.Y., has been selected by Implanet, a manufacturer of implantable medical devices, to supply its sensor technology as the foundation for Implanet’s BeepNTrack, a new service designed to trace the movement of the company’s knee and hip implants, among other products, across the supply chain to hospitals.

TekCollect, Inc., a provider of accounts receivable management services, is partnering with the Texas Dental Association to provide its members with custom collection programs and services.

MedQuist, Inc., a Mount Laurel, N.J.-based provider of medical transcription services, has entered into a five-year, $25 million revolving credit facility.

AeroScout, based in Redwood City, Calif., has announced that Premier Purchasing Partners L.P., the group purchasing unit of the San Diego based Premier healthcare alliance, has awarded he company a three-year contract as a preferred provider for RFID asset tracking and management solutions.

Chesapeake System Solutions, Inc., of Owings Mills, Md., has announced that Sterling Life Insurance of Bellevue, Wash., recently implemented hosted versions of the company’s suite of software solutions, including T-Recs Enterprise, as part of a comprehensive treasury management strategy.

The Robert E. Nolan Company, a Dallas-based managed care consulting firm, has announced the availability of its Hospital Planning Framework, an interactive model designed to allow hospitals to model key financial and performance variables including payer mix, reimbursement rates, cost structure, financial results, staffing level impact and total hospital economy impact.

Premier, Inc., a San Diego-based group purchasing network, has awarded the Dynamic Computer Corporation of Farmington Hills, Mich., a group purchasing contract to provide RFID asset tracking and management solutions to Premier’s membership of more than 1,700 hospitals and 49,000 other healthcare providers.
