Jackson Healthcare, based in Alpharetta, Ga., has announced an agreement with Irving, Texas-based VHA, Inc., that gives VHA’s hospital network access to multispecialty physicians for locum tenens assignments and permanent physician placement through Jackson subsidiaries Jackson Coker and LocumTenens.com.

NextImage Medical, Inc., a San Diego-based provider of next-generation radiology services to the workers’ compensation market, has raised $5 million in Series A financing, led by Chrysalis Ventures of Louisville, Ky. The company will use the money to accelerate market expansion and enhance its technology platform.

Zotec Partners, an Indianapolis-based provider of medical billing, practice management and radiology information systems (RIS) software, has announced that Lexington Radiology Associates of West Columbia, S.C., will use the company’s billing services software.

Carestream Health, Inc., of Rochester, N.Y., has signed a multi-year contract with Atlanta-based MedAssets Supply Chain Systems to provide MedAssets customers with access to Carestream’s line of data archiving, RIS/PACS and cardiology PACS solutions.
