Heartland Payment Systems, a Princeton, N.J.-based provider of payment processing services, has unveiled ConfirmPay, powered by TransEngen, an integrated payments portal and healthcare eligibility verification systems designed to allow healthcare providers to confirm patient insurance eligibility and payment responsibility in real-time at the point of care.

Passport Health Communications, based in Franklin, Tenn., has launched eCashiering, a new solution that expands the company’s cash tracking and credit card processing services to include electronic check payment processing that doesn’t require a paper check, setting up payment plans either to the hospital or another third party or allowing patients to pay via the Internet or the phone.

HealthEdge, a Burlington, Mass.-based developer of software platform for healthcare payers, has announced that the Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island has selected HealthRules Payor and HealthRules Answers to enhance claim and benefit administration, reduce administrative costs, improve transparency and increase operational efficiencies.

HealthTrio LLC, based in Centennial, Colo., has announced the spinoff of its xpress payer-focused, rules-based claims and benefits management technology to form a new company called Monument Systems, LLC.

Portico Systems
, based in Philadelphia, has announced that the Colorado-based Lovelace Health Plan, a subsidiary of Ardent Health Services, will deploy the company’s Choreo Contracting Solution to automate its paper-based provider contracting process.

Preferred Health Technology, Inc., of Carrollton, Texas, has announced that the Orange County, Calif., Medical Association will sponsor, for one year, the company’s A-Claim medical payment solution for its members.
 
Chamberlin Edmonds and Associates, Inc., an Atlanta-based provider of patient eligibility services to hospitals, has been selected by Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, Ore., to help the hospital improve access to state and federal benefit programs.

Broadlane
, a Dallas-based provider of cost management services for healthcare providers, has renewed its supply chain relationship for another five years with Prime Healthcare Services in Victorville, Calif.

BridgeHealth Medical, Inc.
, a Denver-based provider of medical travel services, has announced a partnership with Medtral New Zealand.

A-Life Medical, Inc., a San Diego-based provider of computer-assisted coding (CAC) products and services, has launched RecoverIt, a reconciliation solution designed to automate and reconcile the charge capture process.

Aprima Medical Software, based in Dallas, has announced a reseller agreement with Medical Reimbursement Management, a Johnson City, Tenn.-based medical billing company, which will sell the company’s EHR/PM software to physician practices in east Tennessee, western North Carolina and southwest Virginia.

JGI, a business and technology consulting firm based in Rochelle Park, N.J., has completed an ADP upgrade at the Washington Hospital Healthcare System in Fremont, Calif., allowing the system to improve its management of human resources, payroll and benefits as well as interfacing with other hospital information systems.

MZI HealthCare, LLC, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based provider of health benefit administration software, has unveiled version 6.0 of its EZ-CAP solution, designed to help payers and providers manage the complexities of health benefit administration, automate claims and other healthcare transactions and oversee financial and medical management.

CYMA Systems of Tempe, Ariz., has announced that it will be offering discounts on its nonprofit and profit accounting software through 2009.
