Alpha II, a Tallahassee, Fla.-based developer of healthcare coding, compliance and reimbursement solutions, has announced that Healthpac Computer Systems, Inc., a Savannah, Ga.-based provider of healthcare billing software and EMR solutions, will include Alpha II’s ClaimStaker claims scrubber application to its customer base, which includes radiology, cardiology, neurology and other office-based healthcare providers.

Hayes Management Consulting
of Newton, Mass., has launched MDaudit Hospital, an audit management solution designed to enable hospitals to assess compliance risk and allow for internal audit review of Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) targets and comparisons of findings to determine appeal strategy.

The QuadraMed Corporation
, a Reston, Va.-based provider of revenue cycle management solutions, has agreed to be acquired by Francisco Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. In addition, the company has announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs has renewed its annual Task Order contract under its existing Blanket Purchase Agreement for the QuadraMed Encoder Product Suite and related training services, at a value of approximately $24 million.

Standard Register, a Dayton, Ohio-based provider of document services and workflow automation solutions, is partnering with the Digicon Corporation, a Herndon, Va.-based provider of IT services, to enable Digicon to market Standard Register’s SMARTworks Clinical Enterprise and related solutions and services for enhanciong patient safety, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Quantros, a San Francisco-based software and services provider for the healthcare industry, has announced an agreement with Chicago-based Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions to integrate the Quantros line of safety and risk management, accreditation, compliance and performance improvement applications in the Allscripts line of care management solutions.

EngagementHealth, LLC, a Chicago-based provider of health promotion solutions for employers, has announced a partnership with Emergency Medical Associates, a Livingston, N.J.-based professional association focused on providing emergency services to hospitals and health systems, to launch comprehensive disease prevention and health promotion programs. The company has also launched comprehensive disease prevention and health promotion programs for Johnsonville Sausage, based in Sheboygan Falls, Wis.

PrimeDoc Management Services, an Asheville, N.C.-based provider of hospitalist staffing solutions, has renewed a three-year partnership with Ingenious Med, an Atlanta-based provider of physician practice management systems. PrimeDoc has been using Ingenious Med for automated charge capture, practice management, reporting capabilities and communication services since 2004.

eWebHealth, a Reading, Mass.-based provider of electronic workflow solutions for medical records, has announced that the University of Pennsylvania Health System, a network of hospitals that include The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, has extended its relationship with the company by signing a five-year renewal agreement. In addition, the Regency Hospital Company, a partnership of 23 hospitals across the United States, is partnering with eWebHealth to implement the company’s medical record workflow technology.

Consumer Health Technologies, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based provider of consumer-directed healthcare solutions, is joining forces with Benefit Harbor, a Dallas-based provider of integrated benefit enrollment and administration services, to allow Benefit Harbor to make its suite of services available to health plans through CHT’s BenefitSpan platform.
