Canopy Financial, a San Francisco-based developer of healthcare banking technology services, has acquired CareGain, Inc., a subsidiary of Chicago-based Fiserv, Inc. that provides consumer-directed healthcare account administration and management software to health plans.

HCCS, based in Jericho, NY, has announced a partnership with Medical Learning, Inc (MedLearn) to deliver a new series of online, interactive training courses covering coding, billing and reimbursement.

ASAP Systems of San Jose, Calif. has announced the launch of Passport, an asset-management software system designed to give healthcare IT departments a powerful, easily configurable and customizable platform to manage the lifecycle of inventory and assets.

Artificial Medical Intelligence (AMI) of Seattle has announced that Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, N.J. is implementing its EMscribe DX computer-assisted coding (CAC) solution to automated the coding of inpatient and outpatient records for streamlined billing and coding efficiencies.
