MISSOURI CITY, TX – UT Physicians, the medical group practice of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, has entered into a lease agreement that will allow it to expand its clinic space in Missouri City, Texas.

The multi-specialty practice closed the deal with the Weaver, Davis and Jacob Realty Group, a commercial real estate company based in Sugar Land, Texas, that specializes in mixed-use property development. The practice leased an  8,882-square-foot space, with plans to expand to 24,000 square feet, at a mixed-used development called Sienna Village.

"We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening our newest multi-specialty clinic in Sienna Village in spring 2010," said Andrew Casas, chief operating officer of UT Physicians. "Our doctors are excited to begin providing area residents the quality of care that they would normally go to the Texas Medical Center to receive."

G. Peter Jacob, principal at the WDJ Realty Group, said UT Physicians would fill a huge void in providing the community with healthcare services, since the local Fort Bend Hospital (Texas) closed in 2006.
