CHICAGO – Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D-Ill.), who was arrested by the FBI on fraud and corruption charges this morning, allegedly attempted to use his power to appoint President-elect Barack Obama's replacement in the U.S. Senate as a bargaining tool to win the post of Health and Human Services Secretary for himself, the Chicago Tribune reports.
